Spring Break in New York: March 14-18, 2020
Due to COVID-19 concerns, PSD has cancelled all student travel through April, including our NY trip. We are working diligently with Doug Dalton and American International Travel & Tours to discuss both the process and amount of refunds as well as the possibility of rescheduling our trip, which will be largely dependent on what plays out with travel restrictions after April.

In short, our travel insurance covers 75% of the trip cost, though Doug is working with all the vendors involved in an attempt to secure additional refunds for ticketed events and activities. For those interested, the detailed refund / cancellation policy for American International Travel & Tours can be found HERE.
From Doug Dalton, 3/24/20:
"We have gotten back a few refunds from vendors so far, but are still waiting on several more including Southwest. We have requested from them and hoping they will respond favorably. Once we get all the refunds back that we will get, I will immediately mail out checks to everyone along with a form for the insurance claim. That claim form will have instructions on how to fill it out and return it to me. I will submit all the invoices and added paperwork when that is complete. It streamlines the process and ensures it is correct. Once I send that in, the participants will get a check in the mail. Just know that with everyone dealing with layoffs and a very reduced work force in NY, the refunds are taking longer. I wish I could make it faster, but we have to have the money to us before writing checks out to participants. With all our groups, we are looking at almost $1.5 million dollars in refunds. A daunting and obviously tedious process. I appreciate everyone's understanding."

Our hearts are broken to be missing this trip with some of the finest students we've ever had the pleasure to work with,
but our fingers are crossed that we'll be able to reschedule the trip down the line.
New updates will be posted here as they become available.
